The first step is to understand your business. In this process, we recognize that you are the knowledgeable expert in your business field. We complement your knowledge by bringing expertise and experience with tools to improve and perfect your business processes and procedures. If we don’t thoroughly understand the core of your business, we together will never get to the root cause of weaknesses or be able to define paths upwards.
Our Process
We suggest our first kick off meeting to be done offsite. In this way all participants are free from distractions during this important 3-4 hour working session. We will discuss how the business operates, what variables are in play, the strengths and weaknesses and what are the long-term goals.
Prior to this meeting, we will have asked you to complete a questionnaire and survey on your business. From this first meeting we together will develop a plan of action for coaching, the schedule of meetings needed and we will identify some short-term plans and objectives for the next 90 days. You will leave this meeting with clear understandings of the objectives for the future of the business and some tools you can utilize immediately. We will also define who, if any of your staff, should be involved in future meetings.
During this kickoff meeting, we will introduce a One Page Strategic Task List. On it we complete a SWOT analysis, (Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) for the business. We develop a list of the company’s Core Values, Purpose, Mission, Elevator Speech and “Sand Box” descriptions, just to name a few. Most importantly, by the end of the first quarter of working together, we will have developed a list of tasks to complete and goals for your managers and staff to achieve. The task list is reviewed and updated each quarter. By the end of the first year, we will have defined year-long targets, performance levels, goals achieved during this first year and objectives for the company and staff in the future
